Fabric Flower Fun!

To start go through your recycling and find a plastic lid ♥
Mark a circle in the centre and cut out.

I decided to make a large flower so I cut my fabric into a 6 X 6 square. I love the fun colours of the Cosmo Cricket fabric made by Andover Fabrics.

Place your fabric right side down on your work surface. Place your lid on top of your fabric.

Pull your fabric through the hole...about 1 1/2 inches.

Thread a needle and make a few stitches in your fabric that has been pulled though your lid.

Leave your needle threaded and sew on your button. Tie a knot at the back.

Cut off your desired amount of fabric in a circle to form your flower.

Now I decided I'd like to make a two layer flower. I cut a smaller hole in my plastic lid and repeated my steps.

I then formed a larger flower...

and sewed the smaller flower in the centre.

I then added a button centre and used it for a fun embellishment on a page about my daughter and her favorite doll!

Have a very happy and safe weekend!
Lots of love,

Magnet Clips

These clips are so easy and fun to make!

1. Attach a piece of magnet to the back of a clothes pin.
2. Attach a strip of green paper to the front of your clothes pin (this is the stem).
3. Decorate with a flower!

They will make a perfect addition to your refrigerator!

It is a Maya Road Sakura Accoridion Album.

I like it so much because it's pretty simple,
a picture, a word, and a little embellishment!

Sassafras

Sometimes I feel so out of the blogging loop! I recently discovered that Sassafras Lass, one of my favorite companies has a blog!!! I'm overjoyed at this news :D

In order to celebrate I made a layout using their papers...

The picture was taken the first time "Unc" every babysat Jaxson...he needed to find a portable crib solution so he could keep his eyes on baby Jaxson in any room!

I added one of their cool links to my sidebar so you to can enjoy it!

Happy Weekend ♥
